What's in my camera bag?

A question I get asked a lot is what’s in my camera bag: what do I exactly use to shoot all the content? As a travel & lifestyle photographer who is a lot on the go, I try to keep it light.

In this blog, I’ll share more about all the things I use, so I hope this helps!

From cameras to drones, tripods, lighting, and more, let's dive into the gear that helps me capture stunning moments.

Camera: Canon 90D with Various Lenses

The Canon 90D serves as my go-to camera body for its versatility and affordability. While having an expensive camera is enticing, mastering your equipment is key. Personally, I prefer Canon and Sony, and the 90D's all-round capabilities suit my lifestyle travel content perfectly. I use different lenses based on what I'm shooting:

  • 50mm, f1.8: Ideal for portraits and detailed product shots.
  • 24mm, f2.8: Great for lifestyle portraits, landscapes, and products.
  • 10-16mm, f4.0: Perfect for wide-angle shots of landscapes and cityscapes.
  • 27-70mm, f4.0: Handy for on-the-go shots, including portraits, lifestyle, and landscapes.

Drone: DJI Mini 3 Pro with Freewell ND Filters

For aerial shots, I rely on the DJI Mini 3 Pro drone. Its compact size makes it easy to carry, and it delivers excellent quality for both vertical and horizontal shots, making it ideal for creating reels. I also use ND filters from Freewell to control exposure, especially in bright conditions. You can get the same here.

Tripods: Compact and Sturdy

My camera tripod is compact yet sturdy, making it easy to carry around. I also have a compact tripod for my phone, ensuring I can set up shots quickly and easily wherever I go.

Hard Drives: Reliable Storage Solutions

I always carry hard drives with me for storage. I use the LaCie 1TB and Samsung 1TB and 2TB drives for their fast transfer speeds. The LaCie drive comes with a protective casing, while the Samsung drives are incredibly compact, making them ideal for on-the-go use.

Lighting: Enhancing iPhone Shots

For my iPhone shots that I create indoor, I sometimes use a versatile lighting attachment that provides different brightness levels and colors. This is the one that I use. It's perfect for selfie videos or adding extra light to product photos and videos - and it’s super cheap!

Camera Bag: Db Journey Backpack Pro and Camera Insert L

I've been using the Db Journey camera bag for years, specifically the Backpack Pro and Camera Insert L combination. They are not only functional but also aesthetically pleasing, providing ample space for my gear while remaining compact and easy to carry.
